New for 2020, this online unit has been created to help support you complete your Independent Academic Study (IAS) in the social sciences.

The IAS short unit comprises six compulsory pre-recorded online sessions that have been designed to provide step-by-step instructions to complete your IAS project.

As well as the six, online pre-recorded sessions you will also be expected to attend meetings with your IAS supervisor to complement the pre-recorded sessions and help you develop and complete your IAS.

The aim of this unit is to work through each of the six IAS sessions in order, attend meetings with your supervisor to help develop your IAS topic, and submit pieces of IAS work as you go along. This way the IAS project becomes manageable - there's no rush to complete it for the summer term deadline as you will have received structured deadlines throughout the academic year!
